Dann's House Open!

Dann’s House, a StonesHouse project, opened August 1, 2014, providing a permanent home for six people who had been experiencing chronic homelessness and who also suffer from persistent severe alcohol use disorder.

We have already seen tremendous improvements in our residents’ lives and substantial savings to the community in publicly funded services like law enforcement involvement, ambulance runs, Emergency Room visits, and hospitalizations.

Additionally, all of our residents have reduced their intake of alcohol, and all have seen improvements in their health. They support each other, cook together, take excellent care of the house and yard, and are known as good neighbors, including shoveling the neighbor’s walk.

Dann’s House is supervised 24 hours a day, with one full-time professional House Manager and trained volunteers staying in the house as a supportive presence, and helping the residents with activities of daily living.

In this season of giving, we hope that you will support this project, and help to provide a safe and secure home for some of our most vulnerable neighbors by clicking the "Donate" button on the left.

StonesHouse is
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to helping communities develop recovery residences and recovery supports.

Marvin S., as he was known throughout countless recovery communities, helped literally thousands of individuals and families from coast to coast. It was his life’s work to promote recovery and family healing.

Our goal is to continue his tireless advocacy work for individuals with substance use and mental health disorders.

This work has been passed on to Marvin’s son, Greg Stone, who is a State Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Criminal Justice Professional and a recovering addict with 26 years clean. He has worked in the substance abuse field for 23 years.

It is with that same passion that StonesHouse brings hope for healing to individuals, families, and the communities they reside in.

If you know someone who is in need of a pathway to recovery, please contact us.

Together, we can make a difference!

Please consider supporting our mission with your tax deductible donation.

Your help in these efforts is very much needed and  greatly appreciated.

THANK YOU!

A community that makes an effort to care for its weakest members creates a stronger society for us all.
